- Development of Risk Based Training Needs Analysis Toolkit – method and guidance, for a railway operating company. This is a method that helps organisations to identify training needs and prioritise them according to risk, so that more time and effort is directed towards elements of people’s tasks that have the potential to inject risk into the business if they are performed incorrectly. - Identification of behavioural markers for rail safety workers, including drivers and guards, to help with assessment and training for behavioural competencies;
- Leading practice review of training techniques and methods to contribute to improved train driver training. This included: risk-based training, using training as a lever for culture change, the importance of the role of the trainer, adult learning variables, innovative methods and media for training, skill decay, training of behavioural competencies, threat and error management training;
- Training needs analysis for process safety management roles in the oil and gas sector.
